Beetle Ball Joint Dropped Spindles - Disc Brake, Suitable for Air-Cooled Volkswagen Beetle & Karmann Ghia 1966 onwards. Dropped spindles are the quickest and easiest way to lower the front of your Beetle or Karmann Ghia. They replace the original front spindles, and drop the ride height by 2.5 inches. One of the major benefits is that you can keep using standard height front shock absorbers, and the vehicle retains full suspension travel... Hence ride quality stays the same as stock. This version of the spindles is suitable for all Ball Joint Beetles and Ghia, for use with disc brakes including our disc conversion kits. Please note, if you own a 1966-67 model year vehicle, you will need to use 1968 onward wheel bearings which we can supply (see item ref 313.100.30 on our website) and 1968 onward outer tie rod ends (see items reference 312.013.10 and 312.013.40 on our website).
